Exploring hybrid ERP deployments

In this expert response, find out how to have successful hybrid ERP deployments.

Is it possible to only deploy some modules of my ERP system in the cloud and leave others in-house? Can this hybrid ERP deployment be done on one system, or will I need two different ERP systems to make it work?

It certainly is possible to deploy some software in the cloud and other software internally, but the answers largely depend on what your ERP software vendor will -- and will not -- support in this regard.

In any case, it is likely the best strategy to have one deployment method for all your core ERP modules, whether they are cloud-based or internally hosted. If you do not want to move all your ERP modules to the cloud, explore outsourcing options with your third-party bolt-on applications.
